Tiffany Harris, M. Ed., L.P.C.
Tiffany Harris works part time at Wishing You Well Counseling Center as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Learning with an emphasis in Special Education from Lynchburg College in 2002. In 2006, Tiffany went on to earn her Masters degree in Community Counseling from LC as well. Tiffany became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2008, and a National Certified Counselor in 2009.
Tiffany enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families, as well as individuals with intellectual disabilities. Her experience includes work with children in foster care and at-risk youth. She has a particular interest in addressing anger management issues, grief, and facilitating self-esteem groups. Additional training has been secured in the areas of autism, play therapy, crisis counseling, and suicide prevention. Tiffany works afternoon and evening hours at Wishing You Well, and is also employed as a counselor in an alternative school. Tiffany is the middle of three children, born and raised in Bedford, VA. She likes to spend time with her family, especially her nephew and godson. During her time off, Tiffany enjoys movies, reading, shopping, and traveling. Incredibly dedicated to her community, Tiffany serves on the Lynchburg Counselors Association Board, and is a member of the Virginia Counselors Association and the American Counselors Association. In interactions with her clients, Tiffany tries to remember the words of Harriet Tubman: “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” |
